Life Style: Emotional Intimacy Vs. Sexual Intimacy
People sometimes hung up on phone for hours and days, before saying they are missing their partner. Some couples like to engage in sex most of the time, but not much intimate in any other form. So, what is this thin line between getting emotionally bonded and sexually connected is something we should discuss.
Always you can be sexually intimate with each other though there is no romance between you. This is called sexual intimacy. And when you have that 'love' and 'miss' feel whenever you are away from a partner even for some hours, it is called 'emotional intimacy'. Sex can get you instant pleasure and maybe kids in the future but it is only emotional quotient that keeps the love fire in a relationship alive. When you trust one and other, and by trying to understand other person's mind through your heart, then you will get emotionally connected and the bond strengthens.
Coming to sexual intimacy, we've very less people in India accepting the idea of 'friends with benefits' and 'F-Buddies'. So it's better to focus on emotional stuff first with wives or girlfriends, then sexual stuff always follows!
