Priyanka Chopra's geared for big debut
Actress Priyanka Chopra who's busy juggling her film promotions with the launch of her first single In My City is said to be thrilled with the excitement her fans are already showing.
Talking about her music, the actor had earlier said that she would want it to have Indian roots with a global appeal.
“I don't want my music to be region specific, but have a global feel so that anyone listening to it across the world can relate to it just as easily, much like Shakira’s music. It is very strongly connected to the roots but has a strong global flavour,” she'd said.
Sources close to the star maintain that the song featuring will.i.am will indeed be launched at the National Football League kickoff.
“The song’s video specially shot for the NFL will be the music bed for the intro to Thursday Night Kickoff of NFL on September 13. Priyanka and will are both expected to feature in this video,” says the source.
The actor whose commitments to Barfi! are keeping her from being in the US for the launch, however plans to celebrate it here.
“It’s not the launch, but around four hours ahead of the actual launch, she is planning to celebrate the song’s release. She has made a special request to NFL bosses to show the song in India a few hours earlier, not as a launch, but as a token ceremony, to showcase it here as an Indian artiste," the source adds.
