Word on the Tweet: Murraymania grips a host of football stars

The tennis star finally ended Britain’s 76-year wait for a men's singles champion after his dramatic win over Novak Djokovic, with England's game against Ukraine also featuring

A host of football stars praised the efforts of fellow sportsman Andy Murray after his dramatic win in the US Open final over Novak Djokovic.

There were contrasting fortunes for England stars Ryan Bertrand and Adam Johnson, with the latter forced to watch the game on telly after picking up an injury.
