MP Reverse Sting Operation on TV Channel!
Congress MP and Industrialist (chairman of Jindal power and steel) Naveen Jindal released sting operation CD against news channels Zee News and Zee Business alleging extortion. He even wrote to Broadcast Editor's Association and also lodged complaint with police against the channel.
According to the MP, the media group has demanded him Rs 100 crore worth advertisements to downplay the involvement of his firm and also threatened to run negative stories if the deal was turned down.
However, Zee management condemned the Jindal's allegations and also alleged that it was the MP who tried to bribe them to stop the coverage of coalgate scam. "Initially, Jindal offered Zee Business editor Samir Ahluwalia Rs 25 crore which he declined straightaway. Later, his firm offered an advertisement deal worth Rs 100 crore to stop coverage of coal scam," said the statement released by the channel.
This public spat between noted Industrialist and popular Channel has become a National debate now. The authenticity of the tapes is to be verified to bring out facts!
