AIIMS-2 to be developed with international level master plan
CHANDIGARH: Member of Parliament from Rohtak, Deepender Singh Hooda said on Sunday that along with all round development in the state, this is an era of revolution in the field of health also. Hooda expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi and Union health and family welfare minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad for gifting AIIMS-II to Haryana.
He also extended his gratefulness to the Union government for its announcement regarding setting up of National Level Cancer and Heart Care Centre in AIIMS - II. Education and health were two important fields which work as milestones in the development of any society.
He said that on one hand Haryana was being developed as an education hub and on other hand with AIIMS-II a new chapter had been added in the field of health. He said that outreach OPD facility in AIIMS-II had been dedicated to the people. He said that AIIMS-II at Bhadsa would be developed with international level master plan. He said that there was no doubt that after its completion AIIMS-II would be more developed and modern than AIIMS at Delhi. He said that it was estimated that daily 1000 patient would come for treatment in this OPD.
He said that just a week ago, Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda had laid the foundation stone of Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College in Karnal. During the tenure of Bhupinder Singh Hooda four new Government Medical Colleges had been opened in the State. After independence first Women Government Medical College has been set up in Khanpur Kalan. Along with health field, the state had created a niche for itself in every field talking in terms of per person income, per person investment, production, education and sports.
