Botsa takes over ZEE 24 Channel
PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana's kin is likely to take over ZEE 24 Ghantalu channel which is expected to shut down by September 20.
ZEE Group has decided to sell the Telugu channel as it's incurring heavy losses since it's launch in 2009 due to the heavy competition among media houses. Botsa's brother Satish who runs the City Cable Network in Hyderabad is in talks with the ZEE management for sometime now. The deal was finalized recently for around Rs 27 crores. Botsa family also runs City Cable Network in several districts in the state. With ZEE 24, they are planning to venture into the satellite television sector.
Earlier, Ramki Group offered Rs 24 crores to acquire ZEE 24, but the deal didn't materialize as the reports surfaced that this company was linked to Jagan illegal assets case.
