CM Kiran travel guide: 22 Times in 18 Months
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy's frequent trips to the National capital is drawing severe criticism. In a span of one-and-half years in the office, Kiran has travelled to Delhi for about 22 times (November 2010 to May 2012) which cost the government Rs 11 lakhs. As per the records, CM spent nearly 30 day in Delhi in this 18 months.
A Right To Information (RTI) activist has collected this information by making use of the RTI act which is in effect. The applicant now demands the chief minister to explain the reason behind these frequent visits to Delhi. "Kiran's trips seems to have done nothing good to the state. They were purely meant for saving his seat and to please the High Command. He neither brought some special packages from the Centre nor able to resolve the crisis situation in the state. This is nothing, but wasting public's money," he pointed out.
Surprisingly, the number of times CM Kiran went to Delhi has been much more higher than the cabinet meetings held during his regime. This clearly shows he is more concerned about his position than the welfare of the people.
