Either Family Or 5 Crores To Succeed In AP
Time and again, politics is becoming a costly sport but not something you join to serve people. According to Loksatta Chief Jayaprakash Narayana, there are only two ways to succeed in Andhra Pradesh politics.
'Either you should have a strong family background or you should be able to spend 5 crores for election. Otherwise you cannot even contest in the elections', expressed JP, while speaking at an anti corruption conference in Vijayanagaram. The rather straightforward leader expressed anguish that honest and good persons are not able to join politics these days, as they don't get patronized by people easily. 'Only if society develops, the economic situation will be brighter', the Loksatta boss concluded, adding a hope that anti-corruption bill will come into existence in a year.
People like JP should strive hard to highlight the fact that only if education system develops, people will stop selling their votes. Else, it will be tough even for him to win the elections.
