Two Hurdles Shattering Jagan's Confidence
With CBI filing their counter petition in Court and their counsel putting up a strong defence against Jagan's bail petition, the YSR-Congress leader's confidence on getting bail is shattered it seems. Majorly there are two hurdles that became stop-blocks for his bail.
In his plea, Jagan mentioned that there is no need to hold him in Jail as he is not escaping anywhere till the probe is finished. But CBI has countered this plea saying to Supreme Court that Jagan is an influential politician who can tamper evidences and persuade witnesses. For this they have cited example of Suryanarayana Reddy (Sureedu), as to how he spilled beans to CBI in the first attempt and later refrained from attending before magistrate to record the same statement. This is acting as hurdle number one.
Secondly, Jagan is questioning about his personal freedom in the name of his party and alleged that CBI is going slow knowingly. But the investigation agency filed their counter that probing is going on at a fast pace and right now they are in the process of getting information from foreign and Mumbai based companies. This is regarding Hawala deals and suitcase companies that helped Jagan to amass huge wealth.
And, CBI also knocked out Jagan's accusation that government giving legal support to tainted ministers means he has not done any mistake. CBI says that giving legal aid to ministers doesn't mean they are right and probe is probe irrespective of government's moves. Amidst all these tensions, will Jagan find it easy to get bail this time?
