OC Students Stunned Congress Minister
In a student summit conducted by popular channel ABN, Minister Pitani Satyanarayana is the chief guest along with ABN Radha Krishna. A set of questions posed by OC students regarding fee reimbursement have irked the minister and his answers are yet to come.
A female OC student stated her plight this way. 'Sir, my friend hails from SC community and her parents' monthly income is more than 50 thousand being government job holders. And, she got 2,20,000 rank in EAMCET and is getting free seat through this scheme. But my parents earn only 20,000 per month and I got 30,000th rank, but still only partial re-imbursement. Do you think this is justice?'
It took time for our minister to digest this question before an answer came through his mouth. 'We're doing as best as possible and please don't take the negative aspects of this scheme. For a 30k rank holder, the fee reimbursement is partial but still you are getting seat in better college than the one who got 2.2L rank irrespective of his reservation', said minister.
All these debates are once again pointing fingers to the point that reservations should be based on poverty line and annual incomes. Because in our state/country there are beggars and rich brats from every caste and religion!
