Balakrishna gives green signal for Padayatra

Nandamuri Balakrishna expressed his willingness to take part in TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu's 120-days padayatra. "Ready to participate in Mahayatra along with Chandrababu who launched a state-wide tour to strengthen the party,"  declared Balayya, after performing puja at Ganapathi temple near Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital.

Although there is pressure from Krishna district leaders on Balakrishna to contest from one of their constituencies, the actor sticked to his word of willing to contest in 2014 polls from any constituency in the state and also maintained that party leadership will decide it. "They are saying so, as I belong to that district. It's upto the party to decide, from where I should contest," he stressed.

Balayya opined former MLA Raavi Venkateswara Rao's entry into TDP will be a big boost for the party in Gudiwada. "Unfortunately, Gudiwada TDP ticket was given to some other person (Kodali Nani) instead of Raavi in 2009. I thank Raavi's family for joining the party immediately, after I invited him. TDP strength in Gudiwada increased with his entry," he says.
