BJP welcomes SC's order on Amit Shah

Surajkund, Sep 27 (PTI) BJP today welcomed the Supreme Court's directive rejecting CBI's plea to cancel the bail granted to former Gujarat Minister Amit Shah in Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case.

"We welcome the Supreme Court order. We firmly believe that Amit Shah is innocent," BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar told reporters on the sidelines of the BJP National Executive meeting here.

He said the BJP was glad that Shah could now visit Gujarat and campaign in the upcoming state Assembly elections.
