Colleagues unhappy over Chiru's cabinet berth
As the cabinet reshuffle of UPA is expected to take place in mid-September, Congress seniors have been expressing their objection before High Command over offering Union Cabinet Ministry to Rajya Sabha member Chiranjeevi who merged his party just one year back.
High Command giving top priority to the leaders who came from other parties and the ones who has already been inducted into cabinet in the past didn't go well with some of the seniors. "We are neglected, despite serving the party for years," is the opinion of the seniors in the party.
MP Kavuri Sambasiva Rao who has close contacts with party High Command wasn't offered a cabinet berth till now. On the other hand, Daggubati Purandeswari was inducted into Union Cabinet immediately after getting elected in 2004 as MP for the first time. Notably, she was offered the berth again in 2009. Will High Command consider the plea of dissatisfied seniors or goes ahead with the same old plan will be known in the next major reshuffle.
