Jr Doctors On Track With Minister's Warning

Finally the agitating Junior Doctors of AP have to call off their strike and attended duties from today morning. This happened due to the warning given by medical education minister who felt that these Jr docs are responsible for the deaths at government hospitals in the last two days.

With medical services crippled in state and death toll reaching 40 at three government hospitals in Vijayawada, Guntur and Warangal, Medical minister Kondru Murali had stepped in yesterday to warn junior docs.

'These Junior Doctors are resorting to blackmail tactics to get their demands approved. We'll seek both legal action on these striking directors apart from invoking ESMA (Essential Services Maintenance Ac)', Murali said. He stressed that it is the essential duty of Jr Doctors to serve in rural areas. Had the minister put his words into execution, all these doctors have lost jobs.

Fearing his words, the striking doctors have called off their strike saying that government has accepted their demands. It is really pity to see life saving doctors resorting to politics and tactics even after studying at government medical colleges with people's money, which accounts to 50 lakhs to 1 crore for making one doctor.
