Gayle stretching his muscle as he hit three fours and a SIX in the Pat Cummins over. 15 runs off the over. Brute force on display as he drove the first ball to point, and then hammered a short one past midwicket on the back foot twice, finishing the over with a massive flick over deep square for a maximum.

Gayle dropped by Shane Watson, it was a tough chance as the big hitting West Indian tried hitting the wide delivery straight, got a leading edge and a running Watson from backward point failed to grab the ball. Johnson Charles though got the first SIX!!!of the match as he moved away from the wicket and jabbed a fullish delivery from Strac well over mid-wicket. Charles got a boundary of the last ball as well. 14 runs off the over.

Maiden over by Pat Cummins to Johnson Charles. A few hits and misses by Charles as he was rooted to his crease. Cummins with a tight line and length.

Mitchell Strac with the second over and he scalps Dwayne Smith with a terrific in-swinger. It was a length ball and the ball jagged back in swinging late, Smith rooted to his crease looked surprise. Dwayne Smith b Starc 2(5). Just 3 runs came off the over as Johnson Charles comes to the crease.

Shane Watson starts off the proceeding for Australia with the Chris Gayle and Dwayne Smith walking out to the middle. 8 runs came off the over including a boundary courtesy 4 leg byes as Watson tried bouncing Gayle, Gayle ducked the ball hit his helmet as took of over the keeper’s head for four.

Having registered a comprehensive win in their World Twenty20 opener, Australia would aim to seal a Super Eight berth when they take on the flamboyant West Indies in a Group B encounter at the R Premadasa Stadium on Saturday.

The Match will start 1930 local (7:30 pm India Time)

However, it won`t be an easy task for George Bailey`s boys as they are up against a formidable Caribbean side which boasts of big-hitting Chris Gayle and mystery spinner Sunil Narine in their ranks.

Led by Shane Watson`s heroics, with both bat and ball, Australia made easy work of an unpredictable Irish side as they cruised to an easy win in the campaign-opener. But come Saturday, the contest is definitely going to be more intense.

The Darren Sammy-led West Indian side has got enough arsenal in its armoury to derail any side.

However, the West Indian batsmen had failed to impress during their first warm-up game against Sri Lanka, in the absence of Gayle, and were scratchy in the second warm-up match against a resilient Afghan side, barring the Jamaican giant.
