Indian women win T20 Asia Cup, beat Pakistan by 18 runs in final
Indian women won the T20 Asia Cup on Wednesday, successfully defending a total of 81 runs against Pakistan in the final. Batting first, India lost Anuja Patil for their first wicket in the very first over and three wickets in the last over of the innings to manage just 81.Poonam Raut top scored for India with 25 runs while Sana Mir snared four wickets for Pakistan. In reply, pakistan had an equally shaky start, losing Qanita Jalil for 2 in the first over. Archana Das and Nagarajan Niranjana picked up two wickets each for India while Bismah Mahroof was the top scorer for Pakistan, scoring 18. Raut was named player of the match.
