Kejriwal forms political party, says game over for the corrupt

Anti-corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal launched a new political party on Tuesday, saying he "will not rest till corruption is eradicated". "Start counting your days all you corrupt people," said Kejriwal in a speech which announced the party in New Delhi. "Every person in the country will have to decide whether he's with the corrupt or with the common people," he said. "I do not know whether we will win or lose but if I do not fight today my children will accuse me of wasting an opportunity."
Kejriwal said he couldn't name the political party because of "legal reasons" and would do so on November 26. "We will announce the name of our party. We will meet here or at Jantar Mantar and make the announcement".
A 'vision document' released earlier in the day chalked out the aims and ideals of the party. The document called 'Quest for Swaraj, From Subjecthood to Citizenship' says the party envisions an "independent, powerful and effective" Janlokpal, free school education, universal healthcare and an end to female foeticide and violence against women.
"We envision a world where every country, every province, every village and every locality enjoys freedom within its own sphere, where every individual and community can decide on matters concerning their well-being," the document says.
Kejriwal, a former civil servant, co-founded a group called India Against Corruption which caused huge embarrassment for the Congress-led coalition government when another leader Anna Hazare went on hunger strike.
Hundreds of thousands of people took part in protests organised by India Against Corruption although the movement has since largely fizzled out.
Hazare has since parted ways with Kejriwal over his plans to enter politics, which he has described as "full of dirt".
