300 Cars For Wedding: Botsa denies charges!
PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana who was in news for all the wrong reasons finally came out in open to condemn the reports of misuse of power.
Responding on the allegations that he used his his position to forcibly get about 300 cars from three coastal districts for the transportation of guests and paid just 1/4th of the actual tariff which the car owners normally charge, Botsa replied,"There is no sort of misuse of power and I myself had paid all the amount to the rented cars".
Private taxi operators who were at the losing end were reluctant to go on record regarding the details of who has asked for vehicles and who paid them in the end. However, District officials under anonymity said that it is quite common for VIPs to ask for transportation arrangements during their visits.
The other big concern for the officials was that the venue of the wedding is at the Andhra-Orissa border, where the maoists threat is high. If any unfortunate incident might had happened, then the damage would have been beyond anyone's expectations.
