Former PM Gujral's condition stable but serious:


Former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral's health condition is critical but stable, said his media advisor Narendra Mehta at outside the Medicity Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon, where ailing former PM has been admitted in critical condition.
He has been admitted into hospital over the complaint of lung infection.
His condition is said to be "serious".
Gujral, 92, who has been unwell for some time, was put on ventilator support on Saturday after his condition deteriorated.
He has been on dialysis for over a year now, and had suffered a serious chest infection some days ago.
His son and Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Gujral said he was was serious.
However, hospital sources said Gujral's condition is "near stable".
Gujral was admitted to the hospital four days ago with complaints of chest pain.
Born on December 4, 1919, Gujral was the 12th Prime Minister of India from April 1997 to March 1998.
He was the second Prime Minister from the Rajya Sabha to govern India. The first was his immediate predecessor H D Deve Gowda.
