Maruti Suzuki Nov sales up 12% YoY at 1.03 lakh units
India's largest passenger car maker Maruti Suzuki reported a 12 percent year-on-year rise in total dispatches in November at 1.03 lakh units, buoyed by festive sales and strong demand for its newly launched Alto 800 small car.

The company's domestic sales last month increased 10 percent from a year ago to 90,882 units and it exported 12,318 units, a growth of 38 percent.
Maruti Suzuki has received over 50,000 orders for the new Alto, which was launched on Oct 16. However, its total mini car sales, which also include the M800, A-Star and Wagon R, apart from the Alto, were down 6 percent to 36,679 in Nov. Van sales also fell 10 percent to 8,650 units.
Demand for its utility vehicles, driven by the Ertiga MUV, remained strong with 7,439 units dispatched last month, compared with just 180 a year ago.
Sales of the compact DZire rose 30 percent to 13,502 units and compact car sales, which include the Swift, Ritz and Estilo, were up 8 percent at 23,849 units.
Over the April-Nov period, Maruti Suzuki has sold 7.33 lakh vehicles, up 8 percent from a year ago. Its domestic sales during the period are up 9 percent, while exports slipped 2 percent.
Maruti Suzuki shares closed at Rs 1,473.85 on Friday, down 1 percent on NSE.
