BIGG BOSS 6: Salman Khan is a male chauvinist, says Sapna
Celebrity hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani (above right), who is the latest one to be evicted from the Bigg Boss house, has vented her angst against show’s host — actor Salman Khan (above left). For the uninitiated, the 42-year-old celebrity hair stylist had an argument with Salman during the show, in which, she reportedly called Sallu, ‘a serial woman beater.’
Ask her about the Dabangg 2 star, and Sapna says, “Honestly, I don’t look at Salman as India’s biggest star. For me, he is a fellow human being, and therefore, I am not scared of voicing my opinion if I feel that what he is saying is wrong. I only said what I feel. I am not afraid of repercussions and I believe in standing for what I feel is right.”
Elaborating further on Sallu’s behaviour during the show, she says, “Salman is a male chauvinist. He used to discriminate between girls and boys by telling girl contestants that ‘aapse nahi hoga’. Also, he should have taken stand at various instances in favour of girls when he actually did not.”
Moving on, describing her journey in the house, Sapna says, “I can’t express my happiness in words. I feel superb. For me, the challenge was to stay in captivity, and that was a huge deal. I am happy that I stayed in the house like a strong, modern woman and managed to stay there with dignity. I am proud that I didn’t compromise on anything. I am satisfied and happy about my stay in the house.”
As to who all would she like to be in touch with outside the house, Sapna says, “Aseem (Trivedi) is like a brother for me and I think he has it in him to be a good leader. I am also friends with Niketan, Dinesh, Karishma and Urvashi. On the other hand, I would not like to be in touch with Rajeev Paul and Sana Khan at all, as I feel they are quite fake.”
