The comedian stepped out looking beat up for his spot on the talk show's 20th anniversary episode.
Bill Murray is ready to duke it out with David Letterman.
Murray, 62, arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater on Wednesday looking beat up, sporting a bloody bandage on his forehead and a conspicuous black eye.
The funnyman was there to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the "Late Show with David Letterman." His look was part of a gimmick planned to commemorate the occasion.
In his December interview on the talk show, Murray pretended to have been kidnapped, arriving on the stage of the show after being hooded and hit with a stun gun.
Murray was the first guest on Letterman's first show on CBS in August 1993 and also the first guest on Letterman's first late-night show on NBC in 1982.
All together, the pair has appeared together on the show some 25 times.
