Michael Bloomberg and the world's No.1 golfer were playing partners during a pro-am to open the Deutsche Bank Championship.
New York's anti-firearm mayor had to break out the big guns on the golf course Thursday lest he look like a duffer — his playing partner was Tiger Woods.
Mayor Bloomberg and the world’s No. 1-ranked golfer played 18 at the TPC Boston course in a pro-am to open the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Bloomberg’s round with Woods was not on his public schedule. “You get a chance to play with Tiger Woods, you take it,” said mayoral spokesman Marc LaVorgna.
Bloomberg’s game wasn’t so hot at first, ESPN reported, but he hit solid shots on a few par-3s on the back-nine that set up “legitimate birdie putts.”
