WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The U.S. private-sector probably probably added about 185,000 jobs in August while weekly jobless claims may have fallen slightly, according to economists polled by MarketWatch. Large payroll processor ADP releases its private-sector payroll report at 8:15 a.m. Eastern. In July, ADP reported a 200,000 increase in private employment. Initial claims in the week ended Aug. 31, meanwhile, are forecast to dip to 330,000 from 331,000 in the prior week, clinging near a five-year low. The report will be released at 8:30 a.m. by the Labor Department. Also at 8:30 a.m., revised data for second quarter is expected to show that productivity rose 1.9% instead of 0.9% as originally reported.
