Couric's beau of nearly two years popped the question over the weekend in East Hampton.

Katie Couric spent Labor Day very much in love.

The TV host got engaged over the weekend to her beau of nearly two years, financier John Molner at sunset in East Hampton, her rep confirmed to People Magazine.

Molnar, 50, popped the question with a "spectacular diamond," the mag reported.

Couric, 56, has been a widow since her husband, Jay Monahan, passed away from cancer in 1998. Couric dated several men after his death but never seemed to find the one to settle down with again.

"When the girls were really little, I always imagined I would be modern-day Carol Brady," the former "Today" show host told People in 2011 about raising her daughters Ellie, 21, and Carrie, 17, on her own while looking for a new mate.

Couric admitted she eventually stopped worrying about her love life.

"I used to worry a lot about the future. [But] who knows what it will bring?" she said.

"Hopefully it will bring good things."

Couric and Molner first went public with their romance in April 2012.

"He's great. He's from Chicago. I love Midwesterners!" she gushed at the time about her now husband-to-be.
