Balakrishna: I did what my Father hasn't done

I did what my Father hasn't done: Balayya

This statement from Nandamuri Balakrishna may be surprise for many, as the actor has the habit of saying he is lucky to play the roles done by his father in the past but not something like this. He made these comments in the platinum disk function of his upcoming film 'Srimannarayana' on Sunday.

"My father has done many versatile roles. But, he hasn't attempted the roles of Narada, Lord Anjaneya and Journalist. I feel proud to play all those three of them," stressed the actor during his speech.

Balayya was excited about the powerful journalist character he played in 'Srimannarayana'. He appreciated director Ravikumar Chavali for making the film with all the commercial ingredients to hit the right chord with the audience.

Balakrishna's films make a moolah at the box office if they get a positive talk. His last three outings (Sri Rama Rajyam, Adhinayakudu, UKUP) couldn't achieve this, and so they bombed. Post Simha, Balayya has tasted a streak of flops and the fate of 'Srimannarayana' will be decided in this week itself (August 30). Can 'Srimannarayana' repeat 'Simha' magic?
