CBI's encounter with Jagan: Point-to-Point

CBI's encounter with Jagan: Point-to-Point

CBI is leaving no stone unturned to make everyone involved in the Vanpic scam pay the price. The investigation has collected all the necessary information to prove that big fishes have played their part in this scam. Here is the point to point interrogation report of Accused No.1 Jagan who is having a tough time with CBI's tricky questions.

Jagan) My father YSR has no idea about Nimmagadda Prasad's Investments in my firms.

CBI) Nimmagadda Prasad met you in CM camp office itself during YSR's tenure. This report was confirmed by Nimmagadda's financial advisor Raja Praturi.

Jagan) I have never spoken to any government officials regarding Vanpic project.

CBI) There is no need for you to come into direct contact with any of the government officials, as you are the son of then chief minister. You influence YSR to pass the GOs to favor Nimmagadda as part of the quid-pro-quo deal and the officials implemented the orders passed by the governmentt.

Jagan) I have no connection with Vanpic project whatsoever. There is a government-to-government (G-to-G) agreement between AP Govt. and Ras Al Khaimah (RAK).

CBI) The G-to-G agreement is just a mask to amass wealth illegally. During 2006-09, Nimmagadda received several favors from government and in return he invested hundreds of crores in your companies.

Jagan) Nimmagadda hasn't incurred any loss for his investments in Silicon Builders. Using his investments, we bought immovable assets for Marvel Infrastructure, Shalon Infra, Janani Infra and Inspire Hotels.

CBI) You got benefitted with Nimmagadda's investment, but the Industrialist hadn't received any of the returns for his money till now. These investments were made by Nimmagadda during the time when the work of GOs regarding Vanpic project were
progressing at brisk pace.

Jagan) Nimmagadda invested the profits of Rs 350 crore received with the sale of his shares in Bharathi Cement into Sakshi.

CBI) There is no truth in it. The profits of Bharathi Cement were transferred for Jagathi Publications owned by you. From where Nimmagadda got profits?
