Congress Relieved From Mamta Crisis
For all those parties who are waiting for the fall of Congress, here comes the bad news. On the day when Trinamool Congress is pulling plugs out of Congress, Samajawadi became the big sweet in the ruling UPA's mouth.
In a big relief to the ruling Congress party, Samajwadi chief Mulayam Singh Yadav announced that they are continuing support to the UPA. 'We don't want communal forces (read BJP) to rule this country. I'm not in UPA but will keep supporting them externally', said Mulayam. Congress needs 273 seat support to stay in power and with SP (22) and BSP (21) supporting them externally they have 301 seats out of 545 members in Loksabha. 'We'll keep opposing FDI and diesel hike, but still we'll lend support to UPA only', Mulayam confirmed. But the UP leader didn't rule out a possibility of Third Front and stated that they will form it after 2014 elections.
So, there is no chance for either power-hungry BJP or intelligent TDP to taste authority before 2014 elections.
