RTC Bus Crushes Common Man Again
At a time when Central government has already showed its claw power by breaking the spine of common man with cap on Gas subsidy and diesel price hike, here comes state government with its punch. There is always red bus to make to torch the purses of common man and here goes it.
APSRTC has once again hiked the ticket prices in the name of surcharge with effective from today's midnight. RTC MD AK Khan says that price hike is to provide better facilities to people, as they are going add 2000 more buses by next year. Indirectly, the main reason for price hike is the diesel punch given by Centre a couple of days back. No one can understand why our state government is not demanding a subsidized diesel supply for RTC though it is run for sake of middle class people.
Many political parties in the state have called for a bandh on Monday, while TDP has protested on Sunday itself with their agitations near various bus depots in the state.
