What for Assembly? Governor's satire on TDP
Governor Narasimhan's satire came as a shock to TDP MLAs who came to meet him in Raj Bhavan to give a representation over the failure of Congress government in resolving the power crisis which is resulting in the rise of infants deaths in hospitals all over the state.
The TDP legislators appealed to the Governor to direct the state government to convene the Assembly session immediately to discuss the problems of the people, Narasimhan questioned them in a satirical way,"What for Assembly? What would you do if Govt. convenes Assembly? Any way you choose to walk out!".
Responding to Governor's satire, TDP MLAs claimed that walk-out is a way of protesting against government if the explanation to the public issues is not satisfactory and there is nothing wrong in doing so.
TDP leaders threatened the Kiran Kumar Reddy government with dire consequences if it failed to convene Assembly, solve the power crisis and accept the resignation of minister Dharmana.
